Everyone's "with the band"

Everyone is â�œwith the bandâ� these days. Every show I go to, I canâ�™t help but over hear all the fourteen year-old girls within a ten mile radius saying things like; â�œwell, Iâ�™m best friends with the lead singerâ�, â�œyeah, Brendan Urie and I hooked upâ�, â�œum, Trace Cyrus is my boyfriendâ�. Well if thatâ�™s true then you need to get new friends, because if you were actually BFFS with Shaant Hacykian, heâ�™d put you on the guest list, so you wouldnâ�™t have to pay for a ticket and stand in the pit . â�œWell, Iâ�™m just in the pit because I thought it would be fun to watch the show from hereâ� they may say. But it just so happens that right when the show gets out, William Beckettâ�™s â�œlittle sisterâ� is standing behind a barricade screaming and crying because olâ�™Billy Becks smiled in her direction on his way into the tour bus. Last time I checked siblings arenâ�™t fangirls for each other. And unless the band member is Shawn Harris, they couldnâ�™t possibly have THAT many friends. Iâ�™m not going to deny the fact that it is pretty awesome to be able to meet and get to know the members of your favorite bands. However, Pete Wentz signing your ticket once, does not make him your husband.

What really annoys me about this phenomenon, is all the grown women who canâ�™t stop talking about their wild sexcapades with â�œthat guyâ� from Escape the Fate or â�œthe cute oneâ� from Say Anything. You know, the girls that hold up those signs that say â�œGabe, Iâ�™m pregnantâ� and scream out their desires to blow every guy on stage during set changes. Iâ�™d rather hang out with 1000 hipsters at a Ratatat show than be around drunk 19 year olds who love letting everyone know theyâ�™ve sexually conquered every member of Motion City Soundtrack. If J.P. high-fived you one time, great, but last time I checked that doesnâ�™t mean you gave him a hand job.

P.S. I TOTALLY made out with that guy from the Higher. It was incredible. He hasn't called me back yet. But you know, I think he's just busy and stuff. They're playing warped tour, so he's prolly guest-listing me.

Let Go of Your Lover

During a rock concert, do not attach yourself to your lover. It is really impractical and quite annoying. If you are in the front twenty rows of a pit, you need to be moving, or you will fall, or make other people fall. If you are constantly stuck to another person, you will both cause major problems. Especially if you are making out the entire time. Please, get a room. Do not go to a rock show and take up space, if you're going to spend the duration of the concert with your tongue down the throat of your boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband etc. WATCH THE SHOW! You paid for it didn't you? Not only is PDA in the pit really distracting and revolting to those around you, it really bothers the people around you who are being pushed into you because there is no room for them to move with the crowd and they wind up getting crushed in between your love pile and the three hundred pound armor for sleep fan/amateur sumo-wrestler. Sure, if you're at a Death Cab show and they start playing "I will follow you into the dark", you can have a little makey-outey, but if The Sounds are playing "Hope You're Happy Now", I guarantee you do NOT want to be loving it up to that song...IT'S A FAST-PACED, ENERGETIC, FUCK YOU, BREAK-UP SONG! YAOUNDE, Cameroon (May 5) - A Kenya Airways jet with 114 people on board crashed early Saturday after sending out a distress signal over a remote rainforest in southern Cameroon, officials said. Nearby villagers reported hearing a loud boom.

I'm flying out to Maine today, and this is what I see. Oh well, I still am so excited. I'm flying out from LAX at 10:30 p.m, I'll get to Maine by 10:30 a.m. Red eye, ew. I get right off the plane and go straight to the Civic Center, then I'll wait in line for HOURS, then see the BEST CONCERT EVER. MUSE AND MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE!!!!

Then I fly back and have to go to school.
