you're running after something, that you'll never kill

he's all talk. and no act.
and sometimes all act and no truth.
and just talk and no action.

but he's not mean.
heavens no.
he'd never be intentionally.
and there's the problem.
he doesn't know.

that what he does
hurts a lot of people
and no,
not the pretty girls
that just want
another checkmark
no..

the ones that really need him
and his validation, or maybe
just a little appreciation

they don't ask much of him really
considering what they give
and they deserve his best
but that never seems to show

he looks good.
he talks like a million bucks.
it fools you into thinking, that that really is enough.
